Christian Education

Come Learn with Us!

Christian Education is available for all members of the community on most Sundays from 9:15 to 10:15 AM.

Breakfast is served for all comers at 9 AM and adults remain in Mitchell Hall for presentations and discussions on various topics.

Church School
Located on the Lower Level

Yellow Room: Pre-K through Grade 1 children use the Living the Good News Curriculum. It follows the lectionary and engages children in multiple learning styles.

Blue Room: Grades 2 and 3 also use Living the Good News at the Primary Level.

The Library Crew: Grades 4-6 use the Episcopal Children's Curriculum Intermediate level. This curriculum is organized into units that move into more sophisticated levels that engage Hebrew and New Testament Scriptures with Church History and Liturgy. Using an engaging format of games, challenges and topics, the kids seem to really like it.

Senior Youth Group meet in the Tower Room. They use the lectionary and do a lot of discussion facilitated by the youth leaders. They get the added BONUS of DONUTS.

Additional Learning Opportunities

The Women's Guild of the church meets most Wednesday mornings. This erudite and dynamic group of women meet for morning prayer, lunch and a book discussion. Guided often by Rev. Brooke Myers, they keep matters of faith in the conversation even if the book is not specifically religious.

Wednesday Evening Programs

Starting Wednesday March 4 and running through Wednesday, April 1 (no foolin'), we are offering an evening Lenten Series called Jesus 101. This series is the second install of a three part program for the year covering the Holy Trinity. Weds. 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm with a soup potluck at 6:30 and program beginning at c 7pm.

Holy Spirit 101

Starting Wednesday May 13 and continuing until May 27, we will have the third installation in the series, Holy Spirit 101. In this short series, we will explore such questions as, What the Heck is the Holy Spirit, what does the Bible really say about it, is the Holy Spirit talked about in other Scriptures, and how does the Holy Spirit impact our lives? 7 pm - 8:15 pm Wednesday nights, in the lounge.
